Mardin Artuklu University was established in 2007 and located in Mardin, Turkey. Dr. Ahmet Agirakca is the president and Mehmet Cemal OÄuz is the Vice President of this university. The main vision of this university is to become a leading university which is known internationally for its scientific aspect that places human honour in the centre, continually improves quality in education, research, art and technology, is environmentally-conscious, investigative, inquiring, analysing mentality, contributes to lifelong education and development process of society by creating, sharing and transforming knowledge into life. Main Mission of Mardin Artuklu University is to produce scientific works and offer suggestions freely for and solutions to problems with an approach integrated with the city; to offer policies to this subject and become involved in implementing and monitoring these policies; to educate successful and competent individuals who have the ability to develop ethical and aesthetic principles for a participative and peaceful society respecting human rights. Mardin Artuklu University received the “European Award for Best Practices 2016" from the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR), based in Lausanne (Switzerland), which is dedicated to creating and sustaining an environment conductive to the growth of quality awareness and competitiveness in worldwide institutes and organizations.
