The National Agricultural Technology Institute is a public decentralized body subordinated to the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food with operative and financial autarchy. They carry out and cultivate activities addressing the advancement of agricultural and livestock, agro-food and agro-industrial sectors to contribute to the competitiveness of agro-industrial chains, social value and regional development, environmental health and sustainability of beneficial and productive systems, through research, innovative improvement and augmentation. Situated in Argentina, it is headed by the President, Juan Francisco Oscar Anglesio and the Vice President, Joseph Catalano. INTA is focused on national, regional and local development and improvement, generate knowledge, manage innovation, apply participation strategies and promote development processes. They additionally focus on coordinating and integrating economic, environmental and social sustainability in its activity areas: quality chains, productive systems/agro-ecosystems and territories.
