Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (SRTMU) was established in 1994 by bi-furcating the Marathwada University, with an intention to serve southern part of Marathwada. Named after Swami Ramanand Teerth (1903-1972), it is located at Nanded in Maharashtra, India. Swami Ramanand Teerth says a great proverb that religion goes from heart to heart and it is the only heart can pour out true education. It occupies approximately 525 acres. Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University offers wide range of courses at campus schools as following 27 postgraduate courses in the fields of Arts, Sciences, Commerce, Education, Business Administration, and Pharmacy and also with 8 M. phil. courses. The University has around 132 affiliated colleges, which offers courses degree to post graduate and also includes vocational; these colleges are located in and around the district of Nanded, Maharashtra.
Teerth Marathwada University secured with ‘A’ grade (Very Good (Accredited)) through evaluation by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), which is an Indian autonomous body of government of India; funded by University Grants Commission.
University has its own Journal, SRTMUs Research Journal of Science and Research Journal of Social science (includes ‘Technology & Engineering’, ‘Computational Sciences’ and ‘Pharmacy’, ‘commerce’, ‘Management Humanities’, ‘Education’, ‘Media’, etc.) (ISSN: 2277-8594 Print), which is an open access peer reviewed journal and considering publication without any charges.
