The university of Debrecen

The university of Debrecen was established in 1538.This university is located in Debrecen, Hungary. It is the oldest operating institution of higher education in Hungary. It was one of the key institutions of higher education in Hungary. In the beginning of the 20th century the College was transformed into a university, The university has a well established in the English language for international students, in the Medical field.The university offering Undergraduate ,postgraduate and Doctoral programms. The university has two campuses and located in Debrecen. The main campus hosts the many of the departments of the faculties of arts, science, informatics, medicine, music and botanical garden. Younger "Kassai-road campus" is another campus, where most of the faculties of law and economy are located. The university has smaller departments are spread across the city, like department of physics and the Institute of Nuclear Research and the Faculty of Agronomy. The University of Debrecen library is the largest library in Hungary, and it is one of the two national libraries of the country. The number of records in the library is near 6 million. There are 4000 international students are studying at the university of Debrecen. Until 2014 technical Academy Awards (Oscars) have been awarded to five former students. The university of Debrecen has the largest computing cluster in Hungary which, as of 2015 is the 370th in the worlds Top 500 supercomputers. The totoal number of academic staff are 1,700, Students are 32,000 and total 25 doctoral schools in the field of natural sciences, arts, agricultural, medical, engineering and social sciences, awarding PhD degrees to approximately 150 students per year. The University of Debrecen is offering Awards and Grants for excellent performance Researchers and Academic staff members. Professor Tamás Perlaki Academy Award winner 2010. Medical and Health Science Centre was awarded bronze level in 2010 and the Faculty of Engineering was awarded for gold level in 2011.
