The University of Chile is the biggest and earliest organization of college in Chile and one of the earliest in Latina The united states. Established in 1842 as the alternative and extension of the former northeastern Elegant School of San Felipe (1738) (Spanish: Actual Universidad de San Felipe), the university is often known as Hogar de Bello (House of Bello) in respect of its first chief executive, Andrés Bello. Significant graduates consist of two Nobel laureates (Pablo Neruda and Gabriela Mistral) and 20 Chilean presidents among many others. The Universidad de Chile was officially started out on 17 Sept 1843. During this interval, the university contains five ability (facultades): Humanities & Viewpoint, Science Sciences & Arithmetic, Law & Governmental Sciences, Medication, and Theology. By 1931, the variety of universities had improved to six: Viewpoint & Knowledge Sciences, Lawful & Public Sciences, Chemistry & Healthcare Sciences, Actual & Statistical Sciences, Agronomy & Vet, and Excellent Artistry. Almost all of Chiles presidents completed from the School of Chile, such as all of those in the Last millennium apart from Eduardo Frei Montalva (Pontifical Catholic School of Chile), Common Carlos Ibáñez del Campo, and former army master Common Augusto Pinochet Ugarte.
