Georges Python was the founder of the university. The University of Fribourg was found in the year 1889. It is located in the Fribourg, Canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. It is the only university offering bilingual and offers academic teaching in two swiss national languages. The university has mainly 5 faculties. The faculty of humanity is the largest one among all the faculties and has around 4000 students in it. There are about 10,000 students currently and about 200 professors. 700 other academic teaching and research personnel are present. It is the public university and the main motto of the university was “Knowledge and Wisdom”.
