Kinki University

Kinki University is a private non-sectarian and coeducational university situated in Higashiosaka, Osaka, Japan with other campuses in five other locations: Nara, Nara; Ōsakasayama, Osaka; Uchita, Wakayama; Higashihiroshima, Hiroshima; and Iizuka, Fukuoka. The first president was Koichi Seko. It comprises of 11 schools, 44 departments and a School of Medicine that runs three general hospitals and also covers many fields of research. In 1987, Kinki University got the opportunity for the exchange of research with Sofia Medical University and in 1988, it entered into similar agreements with Thailands Chulalongkorn and Chiang Mai universities.

Kinki University is now one of western Japan’s largest universities, comprising 13 faculties with 48 departments, 11 graduate schools, a graduate law school, 20 research facilities, two junior colleges, 18 associated primary and secondary schools, and three teaching hospitals.
