Henan University is located in Kaifeng, China a famous historic city the capital of 7 dynasties in Chinese history. Henan University is founded in 1912 is one of the oldest University of China more than 100 years old. HU was named Preparatory School for Further Study in Europe and America later renamed Zhongzhou University (1923), Henan Zhongshan University (1927), Provincial Henan University (1930), and National Henan University (1942). HU is good at Chinese training as it began teaching Chinese as a second language in 1985.
Henan University is providing several Non-degrees, Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree and Doctoral Degree programs. Among the 3,547 staff members, 10 are academicians, 300 have doctor's degrees, and over 800 are full or associate professors. The university library houses 3 million books, 170 thousand of which are thread-bound ancient writings and 200 thousand books and magazines in foreign languages. The museum houses a collection of valuable cultural relics. With its first-class equipment the key labs are available for various scientific experiments. In addition, the university has its teaching & research institutions such as the Computing Centre, the Network Centre, the Survey and Experiment Centre, and the Audio-Visual Education Centre.
