International Journal of Emergency Mental Health and Human Resilience with H Index:24, Google Scholar h5 Index:9 is a multidisciplinary quarterly designed to be the premier international forum and authority for the discussion of all aspects of emergency mental health.
The Journal publishes manuscripts on relevant topics including psychological trauma, disaster psychology, traumatic stress, addiction behaviors, crisis intervention, emergency services, critical incident stress management, war, occupational stress and crisis, employee assistance programs, violence, terrorism, emergency medicine and surgery, emergency nursing, suicidology, burnout and compassion fatigue, cognitive science, behavioral science, psychology and psychotherapy, mental health and disability, sleep disorders and other mental disorders etc.
The Journal publishes original research, case studies, innovations in program development, scholarly reviews, theoretical discourse and book reviews. Additionally, it encourages the submission of philosophical reflections, responsible speculations, and commentary. As special features, the Journal provides an ongoing continuing education series providing topical reviews and updates relevant to emergency mental health and ongoing annotated research review of relevant papers published elsewhere thus making the Journal a unique and even more valuable reference resource. International Journal of Emergency Mental Health and Human Resilience is a peer reviewed scientific Journal known for rapid dissemination of high-quality research. Depression is much more than sadness, it varies from person to person and even with age but has some common symptoms. Sometimes psychological problems can cause depression and sometimes it depends on the day to day life of an individual where they experience depressed mood, loss of interest, feeling of guilt etc. More than 25% of patients suffering with depression are suffering with Psychotic depression. People with mental disorders like schizophrenia also experience mental depression.

Psychiatric rehabilitation, also known as psychosocial rehabilitation, and sometimes simplified to psych rehab by providers, is the process of restoration of community functioning and well-being of an individual diagnosed in mental health or mental or emotional disorder and who may be considered to have a psychiatric disability. Society affects the psychology of an individual by setting number of rules, expectations and laws. Psychiatric rehabilitation work is undertaken by rehabilitation counselors, licensed professional counselors, psych rehab consultants or specialists, university level Masters and PhD levels, classes of related disciplines in mental health and community support or allied health workers represented in the new direct support professional workforce.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders. These include various affective, behavioural, cognitive and perceptual abnormalities. Initial psychiatric assessment of a person typically begins with a case history and mental status examination. Psychological tests and physical examinations may be conducted, including on occasion the use of neuroimaging or other neurophysiological techniques. Mental disorders are broadly diagnosed in accordance with criteria listed in diagnostic manuals such as the widely used Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), published by the American Psychiatric Association, and the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), edited and used by the World Health Organization.

A sleep disorder, or somnipathy, is a medical disorder of the sleep patterns of a person or animal. Some sleep disorders are serious enough to interfere with normal physical, mental, social and emotional functioning. Polysomnography and actigraphy are tests commonly ordered for some sleep disorders. Sleep disorders are broadly classified into dyssomnias, parasomnias, circadian rhythm sleep disorders involving the timing of sleep, and other disorders including ones caused by medical or psychological conditions and sleeping sickness.
