One fundamental aspect examined is the effectiveness of different gum treatments. Studies consistently show that both surgical and non-surgical approaches significantly reduce periodontal pocket depth and bleeding. It’s a strong reminder that getting rid of those deep pockets is key to healthy gums, and we have good evidence for several ways to achieve that [1].
