Received Date: Mar 03, 2025 / Published Date: Mar 30, 2025
Abstract
Anxiety and depression are increasingly prevalent among teenagers, posing serious risks to their emotional well-being, academic performance, and social development. These mental health disorders often go undiagnosed or untreated, leading to long-term negative outcomes. This paper explores the root causes, warning signs, and impacts of adolescent anxiety and depression, while emphasizing the critical need for early detection and intervention. It reviews a range of effective support strategies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), school-based mental health programs, mindfulness techniques, parental guidance, and peer-led initiatives. By examining both clinical and community-based approaches, this paper aims to provide a comprehensive guide for parents, educators, and mental health professionals in fostering resilience and providing meaningful support for struggling teens.
