Abstract

Background: Organ transplantation has revolutionized medical practice, offering a lifeline to patients suffering from end-stage organ failure. Over the years, transplant surgery has witnessed significant advancements, driven by innovations in surgical techniques, immunosuppressive therapies, and organ preservation methods. This review explores recent developments in transplant surgery, with a focus on improving graft survival and enhancing patient outcomes. It examines key elements such as organ procurement, surgical procedures, postoperative care, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies in the transplantation process.
