Abstract
This collection of research investigates the multifaceted applications and advancements in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). It covers the effectiveness of technology-aided instruction, the role of speech-language pathologists, and the emerging influence of Artificial Intelligence. The studies also examine AAC interventions for specific populations including children with developmental disabilities, adults with aphasia and ALS, and individuals with intellectual disabilities and ASD. Furthermore, it explores assistive technologies like eye-tracking and the critical importance of parental involvement and literacy development.
