Abstract
Forensic toxicology stands as a critical discipline within the realm of forensic science, specializing in the identification
and analysis of toxic substances to unravel crimes and safeguard public safety. This article delves into the multifaceted
applications of forensic toxicology, emphasizing its pivotal role in criminal investigations, post-mortem examinations,
and various legal proceedings. We explore the scope of this field, encompassing homicide investigations, drug-related
crimes, and incidents involving workplace exposure. Key analytical methods, such as gas chromatography and mass
spectrometry, are discussed in the context of their applications in detecting a broad spectrum of toxic substances.
