Cadi Ayyad University is also known as the University of Marrakesh ,in Marrakesh, one of the major universities of Morocco. Cadi Ayyad University was established in 1978 and operates 13 institutions in the Marrakesh, Tensift Elhaouz and Abda Doukkala regions of Morocco in four main cities, including Kalaa of Sraghna, Essaouira and Safi in addition to Marrakesh. UCA has efficiently transformed itself during the last thirty years to raise the standards of higher education in Morocco, cope with the challenges of massively increasing student numbers and address the social need for education and research. The University Cadi Ayyad has about 42000 undergraduate students, 4000 graduates, 1200 postgraduate and continuing education students, and 500 foreign students; 1132 academic staff, 774 administrative and technical staff. There are 30,000-34,999 students studying in various courses offered by Université Cadi Ayyad. Abdellatif Miraoui is the President of the institution that delivers great information and knowledge among the students. . IAH International Congress and other conferences and seminars are hosted by this university through which it disseminates detailed information. The university is considered as a leader in the topics of water and waste water research in Morocco. Recently the university shelters also a new centre of research: The National Centre of Studies and Research on Water and Energy (CNEREE) which constitutes a scientific platform for the applied research and transfer of the knowhow to the socio-professional sector.
