In the year 2006, Hitit University was isolated from the Gazi University, till that it was associated with the Gazi. With the decision of Ministry and council, new university was laid under the name of Hitit University in the 2006. It has vast educational circular in which three institutes, two schools, eight faculties, which provides the education to 6,263 short cycle students, 8,245 of bachelor students and 1,214 master’s degree students and 100’s of Ph D students in its circular. Academic units of the university are classified into the Arts and Sciences, Economics and Administrative sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Veterinary and medicine in these Archaeology, Anthropology, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Psychology, and Sociology etc. comes under Arts and Sciences, Banking and Finance, Business Management, Economics comes under the Economics and Administrative sciences, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering and few other engineering related branches comes under Engineering faculty. Architecture, Art, Art and Design and Ceramics categories falls under Fine Arts, Design and Architecture. Hitit University library constitutes about 46,035 printed publications, 43,700 e-journals, Periodicals 1,178 and 50 data bases. Few of the journals like Journal of Divinity Faculty of Hitit University is a biannual journal which includes the publications of studies on Islam, world religions, theology, Journal of Hitit University Social Sciences Institute is a common referred journal for the social sciences. Hittite Journal of Science & Engineering is peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary international journal containing original research papers, review articles, short articles. Hittite University has the Information System for Alumni, which is made with the aim of improvising the relations between the university and the alumni, to bring the various features and projects in the university to the graduates. Graduate Information System has been started by the university to provide the various opportunities and by giving updates on the ongoing research. Hittite University is majorly focusing on the students’ research and funding and the mission of this university is to render the services related to the administrative, financial, other arrears complying with laws, legislations and instructions to the management principles. The vision is to serve with contemporary and self-approach.
