The Indian Institute of Petroleum (IIP), set up in 1960, is one of the constituent laboratories of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), devoted to R&D within the hydrocarbon zone. About 132 of its studies workforce are R&D scientists supported by means of 208 technical employees. It is ready with R&D centers such as pilot flowers. The annual price range of the institute is round 25 crores. The institute is identified via over 14 universities to behaviour research leading to Doctorate diploma. The Director General of CSIR based in Delhi, Girish Sahni, is the head of institute accompanied by way of Dr. Anjan Ray, who has been the Director of the institute considering that November 2016.
