Pharos University in Alexandria is a non-governmental and profitable university in Alexandria of Egypt Country. It was established in the year in the year 2006. Pharos University in Alexandria is a small coeducational institute and officially it is recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education in Egypt Country. It introduces higher educations of bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This institution will select the students based on past academic grades and records. Internationally the students are invited for applying the enrolment. University also provides some of the facilities of academic, non-academic, sports facilities, services of library, housing, exchange programs like studying in abroad and also it includes administrative services. In the academic year of 2006-2007 the university got licence from the Egyptian Supreme Council of private universities. President of the university is Prof. Abd Al Monem Mousa, Vice-president is Prof. Yousry El Kharadly. Founders: University Chairman and founder of the Board of Trustees is Mr. Mohammed Abdel Fattah Ragab who also is the Chairman of Ragab Corporation. He is also having a previous experience in the field of education and also the founder of the Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology, as well as the Reyada Language School in Alexandria. It includes eleven faculties: Pharmacy and Drug Manufacturing, Dentistry, Engineering, Languages and translation Financial and Administrative Sciences, Legal Studies and international Relations, Tourism and Hotel management, Allied Medical Sciences, Mass Communication, Physical Therapy, Arts and Design. Vision: Its main goal is to be one of the leading higher educational universities in the region and across the globe. Admission and Registration: Pharos University allows admissions from both Egyptian and foreign students holding the Egyptian HSC (Thanaweya) or any equivalent certificates accredited by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities, and also other student categories meeting the prerequisites specified by the Ministry of Higher Education in Egypt.
