Indonesia is officially called as the Republic of Indonesia, it is a country in Southeast Asia and situated between India and Pacific Ocean. Indonesia is the largest Island country which consists 13000 Islands; its official language is Indonesian.

Indonesia is an island country in South east Asia, lying between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. The total land area of it is 1,904,569 km2, the territorial area is 5,193,250 km2. Indonesia shares border with countries like Malaysia 1,881 kilometres (1,169 mi), Papua New Guinea 824 kilometres (512 mi), East Timor 253 kilometres (157 mi), the coastline area 54,716 km. It has natural resources like petroleum, tin, natural gas, nickel, timber, bauxite, copper, fertile soils, coal, gold, silver.

Indonesia has the largest economy in Southeast Asia and is one of the emerging market economies of the world. The country is also a member of G-20 major economies and classified as a newly industrialised country. In 2012 Indonesia replaced India as the second-fastest-growing G-20 economy, behind China. The Indonesian Science Fund (ISF), established under a recent decree of President Joko Widodo, will earmark around US$60 million a year to fund 200 research proposals.

Indonesia Agency for Agricultural Research and Development(IAARD) which is producing and developing technological innovations and policy recommendations in the agricultural sector to support the industrial agriculture system. There are few journals Electrical Engineering Journals, International Engineering Journals, Indonesian Engineering Journals which are supporting the engineering research with their quality publication.
