While many pregnancies progress smoothly, complications can occur at any stage, during pregnancy, labor, or delivery. Understanding the most common birth complications, their causes, and how they are managed can help prepare parents for the unexpected and ensure the safety of both the mother and the baby. Early diagnosis, proper medical intervention, and timely management are crucial to minimizing risks and ensuring the best outcomes in these situations [1].

Preterm Labor and Premature Birth
One of the most common birth complications is preterm labor, which refers to labor that begins before 37 weeks of pregnancy. Typically, a full-term pregnancy lasts about 40 weeks, and babies born before 37 weeks are considered premature.
