Abstract
Obesity significantly impacts cardiovascular health through complex interactions involving genetic factors, lifestyle, and diverse pathophysiological mechanisms. This research explores how obesity leads to vascular dysfunction, cardiotoxicity from cancer treat- ments, and conditions like heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. It highlights the role of gut microbiota and epigenetic changes. Effective management strategies discussed include personalized lifestyle interventions, pharmacotherapy, and bariatric surgery, with a focus on mitigating risks in populations from children to adults. The findings emphasize the critical need for comprehensive, tailored approaches to improve cardiac outcomes in obese individuals.
