Abstract
This case report delves into the intricate connection between chronic inflammatory conditions and the development
of diabetes mellitus, using the illustrative case of Ms. A, a 52-year-old woman with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and recently
diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The report explores the clinical presentation, laboratory investigations,
and management strategies employed to address both RA and diabetes simultaneously. The findings underscore
the importance of understanding the interplay between chronic inflammation and metabolic disorders, emphasizing
the need for multidisciplinary collaboration in the comprehensive care of individuals with coexisting autoimmune and
metabolic conditions.
