Description of the country:
Canada is a developed country in the northern part of North America, is filled with vibrant cities including massive, multicultural Toronto; predominantly French-speaking Montréal and Québec City; Vancouver and Halifax on the Pacific and Atlantic coasts, respectively; and Ottawa, the capital. It’s also crossed by the Rocky Mountains and home to vast swaths of protected wilderness.

Canada has ten provinces and three territories, which extend from the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean. It covers 9.98 million square kilometres, which makes it the world's second largest country by total area and the fourth largest country by land area. Canada shares its border with the United States and it is the longest land border. Majority of Canada’s land territory being dominated by forest, tundra and the Rocky Mountains. Th whole country has cold or severely cold winter climate, but southerly areas are warm in summer.
Status of economy, research and development:
Canada is a developed country and it is among the countries which have best government transparency, civil liberties, quality of life, economic freedom, and education and is the eleventh largest economy in the world. It also has the tenth highest nominal per capita income and ninth highest in Human Development Index globally. Canada is a Commonwealth Realm member of the Commonwealth of Nations, United Nations, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the G8, the Group of Ten, the G20, the North American Free Trade Agreement and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum.

Canada has the proper infrastructure for civil liberties and political rights. Few Universities also provide one of the best study courses on political Science such as The University of Ottawa, Western University etc. All these universities also show up in the top 100 Universities in the world. These schools are governed by Canadian Social Science, Association, and Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences. The Canadian Journal of Political Science and Canadian Social Science Journal are also one of the best journals on Social Science and Political Science all over the globe.
