La Salle University is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S. This university was founded in March 1863 by the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. This is a private, co-educational, Roman Catholic university. The campus is divided into 3 parts: North, South, and west campus and extends from Logan (upper North Philadelphia section of the city) into Germantown (Northwest Philadelphia section of the city). University is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church through the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and is led by a Board of Trustees headed by a President and Chairman. The current President is Michael McGinniss. La Salle offers undergraduate, masters degrees and doctorate degrees in several courses of study. Undergraduates at La Salle can choose from more than 40 majors. Of which communication, nursing, and education are the largest majors. Graduate students can study in about 15 programs, including in the fields of business and health. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 4,409 and the campus size is 133 acres. Freshmen who come into La Salle undecided on a major can check out the Explore U program, which helps them focus on their future through school mentoring, advising and workshops. La Salle students can also expect small classes.
