Herukka′s research interests include Biological markers for neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer′s disease, Parkinson’s disease and Frontotemporal dementia, Mild cognitive impairment and early Alzheimer′s disease, Imaging of neurodegenerative diasease, Animal models of Alzheimer′s disease, Genetics of neurodenegerative diseases
