James Barker

Biography

Dr James Barker is Course Director for MSc "Forensic Analysis" and a module leader for a number of Masters analytical modules. He is also an active researcher with interests in Mass Spectrometry and the analysis of drugs of abuse, Chinese herbal remedies, food safety and toxic compounds in the environment. He is also interested in the merger of social and analytical sciences to advance public health and forensic/criminology research. He has links with Industry, Research Organisations and other Schools & Universities.

Research Interest

Development and validation of methods for analysis of biomarkers and drugs of abuse and the merger of social and analytical sciences to advance public health research, forensic science and criminology.
