Biography

 Aylton José Figueira Junior Has a degree in Physical Education. He holds a Master's degree from the State University of Campinas (2000) and a PhD from the same University (2009) in the area of ​​Physical Activity and Adaptation. He is currently a professor of undergraduate degree in Physical Education and Master's Program / PhD in Physical Education at São Judas Tadeu University. Teacher of undergraduate course in Physical Education at FMU. Member of the American College of Sports Medicine; The International Physical Activity and Environmental Network and the Japan Society of Physical Education, Health and Sports Sciences. The focus of the research is the metabolic, cardiovascular, endocrine and neuromuscular adaptation in people with metabolic-cardiovascular diseases, healthy and athletes submitted to strength training. It has implemented the discussion about practices of physical activity, physical fitness and human adaptation in adolescents and adults and the relation with the development of non communicable chronic diseases. Member of the Commission of Experts of the State Council of Education of São Paulo and Ad-hoc Consultant of FAPESP.
