Biography

 Prof. Dr. Edita Stokić, Professor of Medicine in Novi Sad, was born in Kikinda. Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad ended in 1986, with an average score of 9.96. Postgraduate studies, Department of Neuroendocrinology, ended in 1991, defended a master's thesis entitled "The State of prolactin-mediated secretion of pituitary in patients with various disorders of the thyroid gland function." Thesis entitled "The impact of specific distribution of adipose tissue in the development of metabolic complications of obesity", defended in 1997 at the Medical Faculty in Novi Sad. Specialist in internal medicine in 1994 and subspecialty examination in endocrinology in 1997. President of the Commission for the continuing education of medical doctors DLV-SLD since 2011 and was Vice President of the Serbian Association for the Study of Obesity and the President of the Section for endocrine and metabolic disorders DLV-SLD in the period 2002 - 2004.Her international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study.  Her research interests reflect in her wide range of publications in various national and international journals.
