Biography

Dr. Ricardo Maccioni is a Professor of Neurology and Neurosciences at, University of Chile. Currently, Director of the Laboratory of Neurosciences & Scientific Director of the ICC. He has served as Professor at the University of Colorado Medical School, U.S.A. He received his doctoral degree in 1975 and was a postdoctoral fellow at the NIH and CU Med Sch, Denver, U.S.A., and a visiting scholar at the Max Plank Institute in Germany. He is a world-class scientist that has made some world-leading contributions to the study of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and the consciousness phenomenon.
