Liang Yan is a Professor of vegetable at Northwest A&F University,She completed her B.S. in Vegetable science from Department of Horticulture, Northwest Agricultural University, After which she done her M.S. in Vegetable science from College of Horticulture, Northwestern Agricultural University, She earns her PhD in Vegetable science from College of Horticulture, Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University,

Improvement and breeding of vegetables tomato germplasm, Biotechnology and Cell Engineering of Vegetable, Horticulture Crop Germplasm, Vegetable nutrition, Vegetable stress tolerance, Vegetable disease resistance.
