Biography

Preecha P. Yupapin received his B.Ed. in Physics, M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics, PhD in Electrical Engineering from Srinakarinwirote University, Mahidol University and City University of London  in 1981, 1983 and 1993  respectively. He was a post-doctor research fellowship in 1994 under the European Community research project. He has been appointed as a visiting professor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia since 2007. He has been promoted as a Professor of Physics in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Bangkok, Thailand since 2009. He has authored/co-authored more than 401 published papers in SCOPUS database and 30 chapters and books. He has supervised 70 PhD Students and candidates in both local and international universities. He has also been appointed as an editorial board member and editor in chief of 10 international journals. Professor Yupapin is a member of Thai Institute Physics (TIP), SPIE, OSA senior membership, and was a president of the OSA-Thailand Chapter from 2002-2004.

 
Research Interest

His research interests are in nanophysics; nano-electronics; spintronics; nano-communication and networks; molecular electronics; nano-medicine and beauty  and nano-energy.

1. How many years have you been practicing and/or performing research?
25

2. What is the research topic you are working on now?
Nanoscience and Engineering, Nanomedicine, Nanophysics, Neurophotonics.

3. What makes an article top quality?
Original works

4. What are the qualities you look for in an article?
Nature journal family.

5. Do you have any research funding (NIH or other national funding) now?
None.

6. When did you become an editor of OMICS Journal?
2012

7. What is your greatest career accomplishment?
Nobel prize candidate in Energy.

8. How does the research published percolate through to practitioners?
They are open access journal, in which all device parameters are within the fabrication capability.

9. What is the purpose of serving as an editor?
To be world recognized in the research society.

10. Do you have any patents?
Yes, three in Japan.

11. Have you contributed any editorials or papers (any types) to OMICS Journals in the past two years?
Yes, they are in JBSBE.

12. Do you plan to contribute any editorials or papers to OMICS Journals in the next year?
Yes

13. Do you have any trouble with OMICS Journals in the past?
Yes, if the publication fee is affordable.

14. Would you recommend OMICS to your friends or colleagues?
Of course yes

15. How do you differentiate Journal of Air & Water Borne Diseases with other journals in the field?
The publication charge is very high cost for us.
