Suleiman is a professor of pharmacology and toxicology, the dean and a founding member of the college of pharmacy, University of Sharjah-United Arab Emirates. Suleiman obtained a bachelor degree of pharmacy from Cairo University (1974) and a PhD from Nottingham university (1980), UK. Chaired the department of Pharmacology at the faculty of medicine-University of Benghazi-Libya and was the Dean of the college of pharmacy and dean of Postgraduate studies at Al-Arab Medical University-Benghazi up to 1999. After that Suleiman moved to United Arab Emirates as professor of pharmacology, chairman of the department and Director of the Center for Graduate Studies at Ajman University of Science & Technology from 1999 to 2005. He is a member of several national and international societies and also a member of the editorial boards of many reputable scientific journals.

Research Interest

Neuropharmacology ; Pharmacology of dependence on and withdrawal from opioids; Drug Utilization Studies.

1. How many years have you been practicing and/or performing research?
30 years.

2. What is the research topic you are working on now?
Drug utilization studies.

3. What makes an article top quality?
Well defined objectives, designed methods, organized results and their interpretation.

4. What are the qualities you look for in an article?
Simple and clear language and originality of research. Clear objectives and a thorough discussion of significant results.

5. Do you have any research funding (NIH or other national funding) now?
Not at present.

6. When did you become an editor of OMICS Journal?
2-3 years back.

7. What is your greatest career accomplishment?
Being a founding member of many colleges of pharmacy and a coordinator in the establishment of postgraduate studies in pharmacology in many universities.

8. How does the research published percolate through to practitioners?
In recent years most practitioners became rather lazy and prefer to extract information from medical representatives and advertisements. Only few in proportion who take the time to follow up published work of interest to their health profession.

9. What is the purpose of serving as an editor?
Helping a journal to achieve high standards, researchers to publish and circulate their high quality articles and advance scientific knowledge for the well being of mankind.

10. Do you have any patents?
Not applicable to my research themes.

11. Have you contributed any editorials or papers (any types) to OMICS Journals in the past two years?

12. Do you plan to contribute any editorials or papers to OMICS Journals in the next year?
Hopefully yes.

13. Do you have any trouble with OMICS Journals in the past?

14. Would you recommend OMICS to your friends or colleagues?
Certainly yes.

15. How do you differentiate Journal of Pharmaceutical Care & Health Systems with other journals in the field?
It takes some time to reach to a definite conclusion about this. However I assume that with the excellent editorial work, eminent, fair reviewers and rapid processing submitted articles, the journal can tremendously differentiate itself from other competing journals.
