Dr. Kanchi is the Research Scientist in fabricating the bio-sensors for the identification and quantification of high intensity artificial sweeteners in food stuff’s and biological samples. He completed his post doctoral research in Separation and Determination of High Intensity Artificial Sweeteners (Sucralose, Neotame & Stevia glycosides with Capillary Electrophoresis and electrochemical methods (biosensors) in different Food Stuff’s from Durban University of Technology, Durban, South Africa. He is associated with the Indian Society of Analytical Scientists (ISAS), India. He is also serving as the Executive Editor for American Journal of Phytomedicine and Clinical Therapeutics; EB member for International Journal of Research in Chemistry and Environment and many more. He is also having several reviewer experiences for many articles.

1. How many years have you been practicing and/or performing research?
10 years.

2. What is the research topic you are working on now?
Electro-analytical/Separation and Sensor Chemistry supported with Computational Chemistry.

3. What makes an article top quality?
In my opinion, novelty, creativity of the concept and also designing the experiment, effective result and discussion and finally the correlation of statistical data enhances the article quality.

4. What are the qualities you look for in an article?
1) New ideas 2) Novel protocol 3) Good Result and Discussion with proper evidences and 4) Quality of data and its interpretation.

5. Do you have any research funding (NIH or other national funding) now?

Last year

7. What is your greatest career accomplishment?
Regarding Academics, recently we designed novel chemical/biosensors for the detection of two artificial sweeteners. Regarding Professional appointment, It is a great thing to become an Editorial Board Member of “Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry”.

8. How does the research published percolate through to practitioners?
Effectively with Open Access .

9. What is the purpose of serving as an editor?
To gain knowledge on current trends in the selected research field and to give best research papers to the Journal.

10. Do you have any patents?
In Process, Chemical/Biosensors for the detection of Stevia glycosides.
