LabMath-Indonesia, is an independent non-commercial research institute aimed to facilitate the execution of scientific research and to disseminate the results to the community. Characteristic of the research is the use of advanced mathematical modelling and modern software and simulation tools. Examples of research areas from the natural, physical and technical sciences are ocean and coastal engineering, seismology for seismic events and hazard mitigation including tsunami hazards, examples with societal impact are decision support and operations research for production planning, space syntax, and coastal management. Funding of research activities will be from national and international research grants and projects. The dissemination of modern mathematical methods and results is aimed both to university and secondary school education and to direct target groups of the research activities.
Journal of the Indonesian Mathematical Society (JIMS) has been published by the Indonesian Mathematical Society (IndoMS) since 1992. As of 2010, JIMS receives original research papers in main areas of mathematics, especially in: Algebra, Geometry, Analysis, Applied Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics and Statistics. The journal also receives survey papers that stimulate research in the above areas.JIMS has been acreditated by the General Directorate of Higher Education IndoMS-JME stands for Indonesian Mathematical Society Journal on Mathematics Education. This journal is designed and devoted not only to Indonesian Mathematics Society (IndoMS) members but also to lectures, researchers, mathematics school teachers, teacher educators, university students (S1, S2, and S3) who want to publish their research reports or their literature review articles (only for invited contributors) about mathematics education and its instructional. Start from July 2010, this journal will be published two times a year, in July and January. Besides regular writers, for each volume the contents will be contributed by invited contributors who experts in mathematics education either from Indonesia or abroad.
