The conference is tilted as “2020 Conference Announcement of European Epidemiology and Public Health Congress” & the conference will be held on May 29-30, 2020 at Istanbul, Turkey.

Epidemiology deals with the study of diseases in population. Epidemiologists’ effort to determine what factors are associated with diseases (risk factors). The branch of epidemiology was first developed to determine and understand causes of contagious diseases like smallpox, typhoid and polio among humans. It includes the study of aspects associated with prominent diseases like cancer, and of poisonings caused by environmental agents.

Epidemiological studies can be divided into two basic types depending on (a) whether the events have already happened (retrospective) or (b) whether the events may happen in the future (prospective). The most common studies are the retrospective studies which are also called case-control studies. A case-control study may begin when an outbreak of disease is noted and the causes of the disease are not known, or the disease is unusual within the population studied.

The first step in an epidemiological study is to strictly define exactly what requirements must be met in order to classify someone as a "case." This seems relatively easy, and often is in instances where the outcome is either there or not there (a person is dead or alive). In other instances it can be very difficult, particularly if the experts disagree about the classification of the disease. Epidemiology relies heavily on statistics for establishing and quantifying the relationships between risk factors and disease, and for establishing whether or not there is an excessive amount of a particular disease occurring in a specific geographic area.

Euro Epidemiology 2019 is an event that aims to explore the innovative approaches for Epidemiology, Public Health, Infectious Diseases and pathogenesis scheduled to be held during June 13-14, 2019 at Helsinki, Finland. Dr. Connie Evashwick from George Washington University, United States presented a session talk entitled “Epidemiology as a Driver of Trans Disciplinary Evaluation: It starts with Education”.
