In 1972, the United Nations Conference on Environment has adopted a set of principles for environmentally sound management of the environment. This "Stockholm Declaration" inscribed international concerns pointing at economic growth, pollution of the global commons (air, water, oceans) and the well-being of people around the world. Therefore, it is now obvious that a risk management strategy is a key issue for economic growth, the wealth development of nations in all activity sectors and well-being of employees. The insurance and management of these risks are key elements of the new economy of a sustainable service. The efficiency of sustainable development in occupational safety and health is conditioned by a thorough understanding and comprehensive of the activities characteristics that our societies face. Consequently, whatever the activity and size of the organization, the risk must be taken in the heart of the daily management of any company. In the absence of effective management of health and occupational safety, is the entire enterprise that is mismanaged: the health of the company is the health in the company. Thus, surrounded with clutter and inorganization is a source of inefficiency, waste of time, distraction or even frustration.
The objective of this work has been to propose a principle of sustainable development in health and occupational safety. The latter allows arriving to prevent and reduce the production of the harmful effects of hazards, ensuring the management risks, to ensure that the management is done without endangering nor impair human health and without harming the environment, in particular without risk to the ecosystem, the fauna and flora, without causing noise or odors, while providing public information on the effects to the environment and public health of production operations and hazard management. The elaboration of a prevention policy is not the task of a person. It is only when everyone at its own level and from its function and possibilities brings his stone to the building of the prevention policy that can save a result; prevent damage to people, property and the environment, with the slogan win-win (Figure 1).
Thus, it becomes necessary that those responsible for all the activities involved shall exchange information needed for the safety and conduct of the proposed transaction and decide together the measures to be implemented to prevent risks (training and additional information from stakeholders, planning and possible coordination of interventions, used as means, etc.).
