Abstract
This collection explores the integrated design process across diverse applications within healthcare and related technological fields. It highlights its benefits in optimizing facility planning, enhancing patient care models with digital solutions, and developing robust medical devices through risk-based and interdisciplinary approaches. The process extends to antimicrobial stewardship programs, user-centric digital health interventions, and comprehensive medical education curricula. Furthermore, it addresses telemonitoring for vulnerable populations, patient-specific implants via additive manufacturing, and human-robot collaboration for complex industrial tasks. Integrated design consistently emphasizes interdisciplinary effort, iterative development, and holistic consideration to improve effectiveness, safety, and outcomes.
