Forensic odontology, a distinctive branch of forensic science, plays a vital role in criminal investigations through the analysis of bite marks, often referred to as "The Bite Code." This article provides an overview of the techniques involved in understanding and applying forensic odontology in the context of bite mark analysis. From the meticulous examination of bite marks to the comparison with dental records, forensic odontology offers a unique perspective on identifying individuals involved in criminal activities.
