Biography

Alina (Xiaojie) Yan got her Doctor degree on major of chemical engineering from University of Southern California, U.S.A. During her PhD research, she was mainly focusing on nanoporous silicon oxycaribde /silicon carbide materials design, fabrication, characterization and application utilizing 2-D template. She was also working on process design for heterogeneous reactions.

Research Interest

• Design, fabrication, characterization and application of nanoporous inorganic materials with large surface area and porosity. • Design, implementation, characterization and optimization of inorganic catalytic support, catalyst on gas-solid phase plug flow reactions. • Catalysis system/Process flow design and built up. • Surface coating/treatment by chemical vapor deposition.
