D.S.Pushparani
Biography
Dr.D.S.Pushparani has received her PhD in Biochemistry (Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences), from SRM University. Currently, she is working as an Assistant Professor in SRM Dental College, Ramapuram, Chennai. She has over 10 years of experience in teaching and research, and was a recipient of many publication/presentation awards. Her research has included the role of zinc and lysosomal enzyme changes in type 2 diabetes mellitus with periodontitis. She has vast experience as an editorial member & expert Reviewers of more than 12 reputed international journals. She has authored many research articles and has authored a book titled ‘A Handbook on Calcium and Iron in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with Periodontitis,’ published in the year 2014. She is a Life member of professional bodies like Association of chemistry Teachers (ACT), Research Scholars Hub, and the Society of Biological Chemists, India. Her current research interest concerns on to understand the molecular and cellular mechanisms of inflammatory biomarkers and lipid peroxidation in Type 2 diabetes mellitus with periodontitis.
