Biography
Dr. Florin BORCAN has received his PhD in Chemistry at West University Timisoara (Romania) during the period of 2004-2008. Currently, he is working as lecturer in Analytical Chem. Dept. at "Victor Babes" University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timisoara (Romania). His research has included syntheses and characterizations of different polymers used as electro-insulating duromers, foams, and drug delivery systems, and many QSAR studies on new chemical structures of some different types of drugs. Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as: 9 Awards from The Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development & Innovation Funding Romania for scientific papers published in ISI journals between 2011-2014, and 1 Award from "Victor Babes" University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timisoara (Romania) for outstanding scientific work in 2013. He is serving as an expert reviewer for journals like Polymer Bulletin, International Journal of Research in BioSciences, Journal of Nanomedicine & Nanotechnology, BMC Letter in Drug Design and Discovery and many others. He has authored 33 research articles in ISI journals, 23 articles in journals indexed in other IDB, and 13 books
