The University of Florence is an Italian public research university present in Florence, Italy. It embodies 12 schools and has around 60,000 understudies enlisted. The Studium was perceived by Pope Clement VI in 1349, and approved to concede normal degrees. The Pope likewise settled that the first Italian staff of Theology would be in Florence. The Studium turned into a majestic college in 1364, yet was moved to Pisa in 1473 when Lorenzo the Magnificent picked up control of Florence. Charles VIII moved it back from 1497–1515, however it was moved to Pisa again when the Medici family came back to power. The current college dates from 1859, when a gathering of divergent higher-studies instituions assembled together in the Istituto di Studi Pratici e di Perfezionamento, which after a year was perceived as an undeniable college by the Italian government. In 1923 the Istituto was authoritatively designated as University by the Italian Parliament. The 12 staffs of the college are: Agriculture; Architecture; Arts; Economics; Education; Engineering; Law; Mathematics, Physics and Natural Sciences; Medicine and Surgery; Pharmacology; Political Science; and Psychology.
