The University of Groningen was established in the year 1614. The university is located in city named Groningen. The University is one of the oldest and the largest universities in Netherlands. Since its establishment more than 200,000 students have been graduated from this university. The University of Groningen is having 10 faculties, 9 graduate schools, 27 research institutes. In the year 2014 the university is celebrating its 400th anniversary. Currently, there are 28000 students which include 3750 international students. The University of Groningen is a member of Excellence group of the best universities in Europe. The main motto of the university is "The word of the Lord is a light for our feet".
