The university of Ilorin is a public university established in the year 1975 which was located in Ilorin, Nigeria which is also known as Unilorin.
At first there were only 200 later it grew upto 21000 students. In the starting the university started with three faculties and currently it grew upto fifteen faculties. The faculties had sixty academic departments. In the year 2014 of August the School was ranked as the best university in the country of Nigeria by 4icu.
The university attained its autonomous status in the year 1977.
