Fourth Military Medical University

Fourth Military Medical University (FMMU) is the amalgamation of Fourth Military Medical College and the Fifth Military Medical College. It was established in the year 1954 and has got a history of 59 years. It is a national key military institution of higher learning for training middle-and-high level military medical workers for the Peoples Liberation Army. The university administrative body is composed of four Divisions namely the Training Division, the Political Division, the Scientific Research Division and the General Affairs Division and one School of Graduates. FMMU (Fourth Military Medical University) has a galaxy of high-caliber faculty and has attached great importance to scientific research as well as national and international academic exchanges. The university has set national or international milestones in its clinical work. The university has established stable academic collaborations and exchanges with over 20 universities or institutes in countries such as the United States, Great Britain, Japan, France, Germany and Australia. It has trained a great number of outstanding graduates for both the army and the nation, and meanwhile plays a significant role in military medical service, and major national scientific and technological activities.
