Almudena Fuster-Matanzo

Post Doctoral Fellow Pluchino Lab

Biography

Dr. Almudena obtained the degree in Biology at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (UAM, Madrid, Spain) and then she joined the Prof. Jesús Ávila´s Lab in the Neurobiology Area of the Centro de Biología Molecular Severo Ochoa (CBMSO) where she got her PhD degree in 2011. From January 2015 Almudena is part of the Pluchino Lab as a postdoctoral fellow.  
Her work is supported by the European Commission within the FP-7 Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowships for Career Development (IEF) programme.

 

Research Interest

Dr. Almudena has been investigating the role of Wnt3a ligand in neuroimmune interactions in the context of the ischemic pathology.
