Balu Chakravarthy

 Adjunct Research Professor Carleton University, Ontario, Canada

Biography

 Dr. Balu Chakravarthy graduated from University of Mysore, Indian in the year 1976 followed by M.Sc. Biochemistry from same University in 1978. 

In 1985, he pursued his doctoarate in Biochemistry from Dalhousie University followed by Post-doctoral fellowship from National Research Council of Canada in the year 1987.
Research Interest

 My area of research is to understand the role of cell signalling enzymes in neuronal cell death in situations such as stroke and Alzheimer’s Disease. I am particularly interested in understanding the role of protein kinases in transmitting signals from cell surface to nuclei and triggering cell death.
