James Snyder is currently working as a professor in the Department of Psychology, Wichita State University, USA. The primary focus of his research group concerns the development of psychopathology during childhood and adolescence from the perspective of socialization in family, sibling, peer and school environments. This entails longitudinal research on the risk and protective factors associated with the development of conduct problems, aggression, anxiety disorders and depression, and a description of the learning and affective processes by which families, peers and teachers influence development.
