John Koren

Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, USA

Biography

John Koren is a research scholar from Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre. He is examining the mechanisms which allow some cancer-cell models to survive following Hsp90 inhibition.  These studies cover cancer biology, basic Hsp90 biochemistry, signal transduction, and pharmacology. He is also studying the effects of a unique blood-brain barrier permeable Hsp90 inhibitor as a therapeutic option for neurodegenerative diseases.  These studies include neurobiology, animal behavior analysis, and basic neural-biochemistry.
