Laurence Fenart

 University of Artois, France


Fenart Laurence was born in Tourcoing (France) in 1972. She obtained her doctorate in 1999 at the University of Lille I, under the direction of Pr. Cecchelli Romeo for his work on the demonstration of a new original track transcytosis across the blood-brain barrier in vitro and its application to the vectorization of drugs to the brain. She realized her internship postdoctoral 12 months at UQAM (University of Quebec in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) in the laboratory of Pr. Richard Béliveau. His research focused on the characterization of the TAT peptide as a tool for the vectorization of drugs to the brain. In 2000, she held the position of CEO and Scientific Director of CELLIAL Technologies, the company after the LBHE biotechnology. In 2005, she obtained a position as Professor at the University of Artois. His research topic is now focusing on lipid metabolism and Alzheimer's disease at the BBB
